FAQS

FAQS

When should I arrive?

The festivities begin at 8pm Tuesday, December 5th.We recommend guests travelling from outside Dubai to arrive by mid-day latest on 4th December.

Where should I stay?

Both sides of the wedding party will be staying at The Taj Dubai (in Business Bay), a 5-star luxury Indian hotel. We have a special rate at the hotel. Please check the accommodations page for updates.

Will I have free time to explore Dubai during the wedding?

The two days of the wedding are going to be hectic and fun. We advise not to plan excursions on December 5th and 6th, but encourage you to explore Dubai and surrounding areas before and after. The Taj is located in Downtown Dubai—close to the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, and Souk Al Bahar. For those travelling to Dubai for the first time, we highly recommend booking a desert safari from Arabian adventures (which includes a day-long excursion into the desert followed by traditional Arabic dancing and food). Lastly, Dubai benefits from having a highly central location. Those travelling to Dubai from the Americas or Europe could consider a trip to Asia, Australia, or Africa before and after the wedding (it's December, so make the most of the weather!)

What should I wear to an Indian wedding?

Suggested attire for each event is listed on the events page. While most guests will be in Indian clothes, Indian attire is entirely optional for all events. If you are relatively new to Indian clothes, we suggest purchasing a kurta/sherwani for men, and either a lehenga / skirt set or pre-stitched saree for women (trust us, you do not want to drape this on your own.) Those looking to buy Indian wear should reach out to Rahul and Rebecca for recommendations.
